Description
Nolvadex 20 mg
Nolvadex contains tamoxifen citrate, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It is commonly used in the treatment of hormone-sensitive breast cancer and is also known in other contexts for managing estrogen-related effects.
How it works
Nolvadex works by blocking estrogen receptors in breast tissue. This prevents estrogen from binding and activating these receptors, which helps reduce the risk of estrogen-related effects such as gynecomastia. In some other tissues, such as the endometrium, it may act as a partial estrogen agonist.
Proper use and dosage
Dosage depends on individual needs, age, and medical condition. A common range is 10–20 mg per day, taken once daily. The exact dose should be determined based on response and medical guidance.
Benefits
Nolvadex is used to help manage or prevent gynecomastia and other estrogen-related effects. It may also support recovery of natural testosterone production following hormonal suppression, which is why it is sometimes included in post-cycle therapy (PCT) protocols.
Side effects
Possible side effects include hot flashes, nausea, headaches, mood changes, and digestive discomfort. In women, it may affect the menstrual cycle or cause abnormal bleeding. In men, hormonal fluctuations may sometimes lead to mood changes or other temporary effects.
